The Global Appraisal of Individual Needs – Short Screener (GAIN-SS), is a reliable, age-appropriate, and evidence-based tool. This brief set of questions is built for student support staff to identify potential barriers to learning, such as difficulty with sleep and focus, substance use, or other mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety. Results of the screener can be utilized to assist school staff in identifying appropriate supports. Please note that your student may only be screened with your consent.
